Roskilde Festival 2013

As I told you earlier I went to this festival last week...

Roskilde was once the biggest festival in Europe. Now it is with 120.000 people in the average, I think. However, the great thing about Roskilde is that there are sooo many different singers and artists coming. Like this year, there was Slipknot and Rihanna and Kraft and Queens of the Stone Age and Sigur Ros and and and... artists from across all genres.

I went to see five- seven concerts every day...
I saw Vinnie Who, Kenrik Lamar, Sigur Ros, When Saints go Machine, Rihanna, James Blake, Calexico, Kraftwerk, Crystal Castles... and many more :)

My favorite concert was that of Kraftwerk! They had a 3D show and everyone was supposed to wear these 3D glasses that you can see on the picture further down. It was so great! It really was the most amazing concert I've ever been to!

Rihanna was also really really wonderful and even if I did not listen to hear music at all before the festival, I completly fell in love with her! She is so nice and cute! She was so amazed by the number of people that she even put on her twitter account how much she loved Denmark ;) was was really super cute and it was a great show... even though there were a lot of people and I did not see that much.

It really was an amazing festival and I am happy that I went! We stayed in the caravan of my fiance's parents so it was even quite comfortable :) as I work for the festival I had a special bracelet with which I could access the backstage area. That was nice but as I was busy watching concerts I did not even go that much. I saw a few "smaller" hiphop artists when I went the one day but that was all that I took from the backstage experience. Next year will be different ;)

What kind of festival- goer are you? Listening to concerts all day long or partying like hell or just enjoying the atmosphere and hanging out? And any tips for me for how to make my next festival even better :)?

  1. Uh, I love, love, love open air festivals, but the big ones are often too expensive. What job did you exactly have at the festival?
However, I have never heard of of the Roskilde Festival before.

PS: I think I'm every type of festival-goer. It depends on the band that is playing ;)
