Some NYC impressions

Happy thursday!

After another snow storm yesterday, the sun is finally shining again and I feel like getting some energy back. Yesterday I stayed in my room most of day, watching the snow storm, reading the biography of Benazir Bhutto and watching Beasts of the Southern Wild (have you watched it? Its a great movie!)

I wanted to show you some of pictures I took in NYC last week. Hope you enjoy :)

The first pictures are all taken from the High Line where we went for a really nice walk. From the High Line we went to Ground Zero and Wallstreet.
We then contiuned to the Brooklyn Bridge and to China Town...
I really love the Brooklyn Bridge and we took soooo many funny pictures there :) China Town was also really great! Acutally everything was pretty great :)

Of course we also went to the MoMA which is definetly one of my favorite museums in the world! I was able to see the original of one of my favorite paintings from Picasso and Monet (even though most of the best Monet's are in Paris ;))

And then, of course, we've been to the Times Square and all around Midtown Manhattan. I have to admit that I prefer Downtown as it is less crowdy and somehow really cozy!
I also really love Brooklyn where we went for a walk on thursday (it was raining really bad so I did not take much pictures). I reminded me a lot of Berlin :)
And in Brooklyn I went to the most amazing japanese restaurant and had the best Udon noodles of my life! If you should go to Brooklyn soon you have to go to Samurai Mama!

We did have two really wonderful days in NYC and I definetly have to go back there some day! There are soooo many things I haven't seen!
I have to admit that I've been thinking that I will not like NYC because I thought it would be super crowdy and stressy. But then I was so suprised how nice a city it is! For me it was a little bit like a blend of Paris and London- in a good way :)
