Winter Flowers

A few flowers to compete against those grey clouds above my head...

... you may know the grey dress I am wearing from this post and my violet scarf from the last outfit post. The cardigan was really a lucky find in the sales. I got it for €3,50 and I really love it. I wanted a flower-cardigan for a long time and I was so happy when I finally found this one.

Its somehow so fun that everyone in the blogger world (well, everyone who is living in Europe or the US) is complaining about the weather these days. Its so difficult to have outfit shootings because the days are so short and dark. Like in this outfit post the quality of the pictures is not quite perfect because the light was just so bad that day.I hope you enjoy it anyway :)

I wish you all a wonderful weekend! Any nice plans? I am going to a seminar in another city so its not quite a weekend, since I will be studying, discussing and learning a lot, and there will be little time to relax. Anyhow, I am sure it will be a great experience :)

Winter walk in the Park

Somehow a Park does have its own charm in the winter, when everything is a little grey and dead...

...somehow its still peaceful and a great place to calm down and relax, when going for a walk.

This is why we love to go to the many parks around our area - like that day, when I was wearing this cozy stay-warm-outfit :)

Concerning the outfit, I am wearing my all-time favorite woolen dress by Hess Natur. I have that dress in three colors (I got one every year for christmas in the past three years) and I love all of them. They are all organic and fair trade cashmere and just so comfy and warm!
The cardigan is a Bugatti one that my mom got for christmas but she didn't like it and gave it to me (lucky me!!!). The scarf is an old H&M one and the shoes and bag you already know from former posts.
How do you like my earrings? I found them on sale the other day and I fell a little in love with them. I think they are really cool :)

Happy weekend to all of you!

Homemade Rucola/Rocket-Cashew-Pesto (vegan)

I got this wonderful machine for christmas, which allows me to make a lot of great new things...

... and between others it allowed me to start my pesto-creation-carreer :)

The first pesto I want  to share with you is this Rucola-Cashew-Pesto

You need

Two big handfull of Rucola
Two small handfull of Cashew nuts
A spoon full of tomatoe paste
Two spoons full of yeast flakes
Salt
Olive oil (or other oil... I used some olive oil and some walnut oil)

And then just put everything together in the mixer or whatever machine you have until you have a nice paste. Add as much oil until you have the consistency you like :)

The pesto tastes great on bread, with pasta or rice or veggies or or or ....

Just try! Its really easy and its soooo good! I love it and I think its better than ketchup to pimp up any kinda boring meal.

Let me know if you tried it and how you liked it!
And hey, what is your favorite pesto anyway? I'm completly in the pesto mood right now and I would love to try out more new ideas, so if you have any please let me know!

Light and Shadows... a first 2014- Outfit post :)

I take it as a good sign that I had this wonderful light for my first outfit shooting of the year :)

We went to a nearby abandoned house for those pictures and the sunlight was shining through the broken windows and we got those great light-and-shadow pictures.

Concerning my outfit, I am wearing my favorite Lewis jeans which I found somewhere on sale while I was in the US. The shirt belongs to my fiance, but recently I am wearing his shirts as often as my own ones (I love living with him!!!). The scarf was a christmas gift from 2012, its 70% Alpaca wool and I rarely wear another one during the cold months of the year. Cardigan, Belt and bag are thrifted and the boots were a birthday gift from 2013. My mother and I went shoe-shopping on my birthday and I got two wonderful pairs. The ones I am wearing in here are lined with sheep wool and its the first time since a long while that I have really good and warm winter shoes.

I wish all of you a most wonderful weekend! And THANK YOU for the warm welcome-back comments :)
