Bean-Chili-Dip, Baba Ganoush, and Green Hummus

Today I want to share with you three yummy vegan dip ideas

A red and spicy bean and chili dip, a homemade baba ganoush and a green peas hummus

For the bean and chili dip you will need

- red bell pepper (1/2 of a big one)
- kidney beans (a small can)
- fresh chili (two or three - depending on how spicy you like it)
- tomatoe paste (3 tea spoons)
- canned tomatoes (one small can)
- soy sauce (2 tea spoons)
- some garlic

Just put everything in your food processor and mix until you have a nice dip :)
Add some pepper or/and salt in the end, if you like.

For the baba ganoush you will need

- two backed egg plants (remove the skin)
- lemon juice (just a little)
- tahina (4-6 tea spoons)
- garlic to your taste
- olive oil
- salt
-parsley

Please make sure to bake the egg plants in the oven until soft,  before mixing all the ingredients together. And remove the skin of the eggplants to get a nice and smooth dip.

For the peas hummus you will need

- peas (canned or fresh or frozen)
- garlic to your taste
- salt
- lemon juice
- parsley
- tahina (3-4 tea spoons)
- cumin
- cayenne pepper
- olive oil

In case you use canned peas, just mix everything together in the food processor. If you use fresh or frozen peas make sure to cook them until they are really soft before mixing everything together.

Bannock bread goes perfectly with these dips:

Just take some flour of your choice, add water and baking powder and blend it all together. Put some vegetable oil into a pan and fry the dough for a few minutes from each side in the pan (like pancakes). These little breads are soooo yummy! You can add salt or rosemary on top of the bread if you like.

Enjoy and let me know you liked it, in case you tried :)

Lots of love and have a wonderful rest of the week!

Koro-Drogerie (Review German)

Today I want to show my German followers the Koro-Drogerie.

I am sorry this Review was in German but the online shop I was talking about is for Germany only (up to now...) its a really great online shop where you can get dried fruits, nuts and all kind of washingpowder and other things for your house in huge quantities for a small price. I am pretty exited about this shop and I was lucky enough that I got to test it :)

Blue shorts

Happy Summer Day!

Finally Summer came back to  Germany and I spend a lot of time at the lake or in the various parks we have around here. I love these hot days! I am definetly a hot weather person. Somehow my body feels so much better when its hot :)

These lasts days have been really busy over here. I had a lot of friends coming over to my city, so I showed them around and spend time with them. At the same time I fell into a small life-crisis since I am somehow unhappy with my job and I do not really now where to go and what to do. Anyhow, the good weather helps me overcome those problems and gives me energy and strenght for whatever is to come.

Do you have any recommendations for what to do when you do not really know where to go in life and what kind of work to do and those kind of questions? Any advices for me :) ?

Lots of love to all of you out there!

Buckwheat pancakes with homemade cashew-dates-spread

Hello there! Today I want to share with you my favorite Sunday breakfast :)

Buckhweat pancakes with homemade cashew-dates-spread

For the pancakes you just need buckhweat flour, banana-milk (water and bananas, mixed in the highspeed blender), baking soda. Then just make some like normal pancakes :)

For the spread you need cashwes, dates, and either water, orange juice or lemon juice. I used fresh lemon juice in this one cause I felt like having some lemon-taste :)
Just blend the ingredients in the food processor or highspeed blender until you have a nice creamy spread. It may take a while but dont give up to early - you will get a super yummy smooth cashew paste in the end!

So why is this my favorite breakfast? Because its super healthy, gives you lots of energy, it has no gluten and no dairy products and its soooo sweet and yummy!
Oh and the cashew spread is of course also veeeery good on bread or even on those raw carrott-cupcakes I made last week. I will share the recipe with you soon :)

Enjoy your Sunday and your pancakes!
Lots of love to all of you out there!

A weekend in Vilnius

Hey there! Today I want to show you a little bit around Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania!

I went to Vilnius in the end of Juin to spend a long weekend with my two bride maids. We had a really wonderful weekend, exploring the city, drinking soy-latte and checking out some of the awesome vegan restaurants around Vilnius.

Vilnius is actually a really great city. I had no idea! You will find a lot of cute little coffee places, restaurants and a huge variety of cultural events.

The historical downtown is absolutely beautiful and I totally recommend to spend a weekend there (in case you live in Europe :))

I hope you enjoyed my impressions from Vilnius :)
Have a lovely rest of the week and thank you all so much for your kind words on my last post!

Blue pattern

An outfit post from a rather gray Summer day...

... this Summer here in Germany is somehow really weird. One day we have tempertures around 30° C, the next day its raining and cold. Its gray once again today, and so it was that day, when I was wearing this blue patterned outfit.

I hope you guys are enjoying your weekend so far!? I went to Berlin yesterday to buy tableclothes for the wedding. I am getting so exited about it now that I am slowing beginning to get everything ready. On Monday I went to IKEA to buy glasses and a few other things we needed for the party and now its time to hand craft some decoration. I will post something about our handmade decorations sometime :)

Enjoy your Sunday loves!

Summer-Body-and-Face-Scrub

Its Summer time, its time for some Summer DIY beauty products!

So here is my favorite Summer body and face scrub with coconut, honey and melon (or pineapple)

All you need is some grated coconut, some coconut milk (or almond milk), some honey and if you want to add a little extra of vitamins and summer smell then some pineapple and/or melon

Pineapple is great for diy skin care because its so high in vitamin A and C, iron, calcium and potassium and it helps your skin to cleanse and shine.
Melon is great because of its high level of vitamin A, B and C which are giving your skin lots of energy and glow :)
Finally, the coconut is full of good fats for your skin and the grated coconut makes a gentle scrub.
I am adding honey into all of my diy beauty products because its moisten your skin and cleans it like nothing else!

So here we go: Just add some honey and coconut milk on to the coconut and either leave it like that OR crush some pineapple and/or melon (I used melon here) and add it to the body scrub.

You can leave the scrub on your skin for a little while before washing it off again - it will make your skin smooth and soft and you will smell Summer all around you :)

Have fun with this face and body scrub and let me know when you tried it! It would love to know if you like it as much as I do :)!

Lots of love to you out there!

Time for Shorts

Happy Monday everyone!

This weekend Summer came back for a few days, here in Germany. It was pretty cold these last weeks but temperatures were rising over the weekend so that I could take some shorts on and go for a swim in the lake :)

These pictures were taken in Berlin where I went on Thursday to get the last things done for the wedding. We had a look at the place were the official ceremonie will take place and we paid the last few things we had to pay. Now at least for the bureaucratic part, everything is ready :)

The top I am wearing in here is from my KISURA try. Remember I made a review about this German online stylist? You can find the review here. I asked you to help me pick two pieces that I should keep for myself from all the pieces KISURS send me. And it seems like we have a similar taste - I wanted to keep the green blazer and the white top and thats actually what most of you also recommmend :)

So this is the white top that I kept. The shorts are from ONLY, the bag is H&M and so is the jacket.

I actually bought the Jacket in Chicago because it was freezing and I was in need of something slightly warmer, I found this jacket, fell in love and I am wearing it almost every day since ;)

Have a great start in the week lovely readers, followers and friends!

Chicago

Happy 4th of July!

This is going to be my last post on my US vacation...

... I wanted to show you a little bit around Chicago since I really think that this city is my new favorite in the US. In general I think small towns are more fun and intersting compared to the big cities but if I would have to choose a big city, I would pick Chicago! People are friendly, its clean, the architecture is amazinglz beautiful and there is a huge variety in styles and epoches and the different neighboorhoods all have their own charme and "personality".

I also loved the fact that there is so much water in the city and that Lake Michigan is so close - there you can always go for a walk and relax, or visit the Navy Pier which is somehow a lot of fun even though its very touristic. The Millenium Park is great too and there is a free zoo in Chicago and a lot of other beautiful greens spaces where you can escape from the hectic of the city.

If you ever get the chance, you should definetly visit this beautiful city!

By the way, I am sorry I was absent for the last week. I had visits from two very dear friends and their requested all my time and concentration ;-) it was really really nice to have them here and to show them around my city. Yesterday then, I actually went to Berlin to get the last things done for the bureaucratic part of the wedding. To get married in Germany is somehow a little stressful since you need to get so many papers done and register at different places and stuff. Anyhow, now this is done too and I can enjoy my weeeeeeeekend :)

Hope you all had a great week! Have a most wonderful weekend and to my American friends and followers: Enjoy 4th of July!
